You must be able to handle customers in a friendly and professional manner at all times. You will be dealing with people who are moving home and probably finding the experience very stressful. Tact, understanding, quick-thinking and decisiveness as well as an ability to be assertive at the appropriate time are all qualities we would expect you to display. It is a stressful job, with high demand situations a daily occurrence; these require strong coping and communications skills.

Although the description above is core to your role, your daily routine will vary depending on the needs of the day and your colleagues. It could include anything from arranging displays and making the drinks to organising viewings, negotiating a sale or arranging a new tenancy. You would be working as part of a very experienced team.

Following your period of training you would be expected when necessary to conduct viewings for both sales and lettings. You would be expected to use you own car and a full clean driving licence is essential.

The environment you would be working in is very busy. You will also be expected to sit or stand in one place for lengthy periods, usually behind a desk. You would be expected to wear smart business clothing appropriate to a professional office.


Base annual salary of £17,000 to £18,000 depending on experience.

Your Role

As a Customer Advisor/Administrator, your main duties will be dealing with incoming enquiries from potential tenants and buyers, arranging and conducting viewings. You will also be liaising with landlords and scheduling the start of new tenancies. Other duties include tenant referencing, inventories and attracting new landlords. Face to face and telephone contact makes this role ideal for those who like meeting people in addition to having a talent for sales.

The Individual

  • Background in lettings or estate agency preferred

  • Extensive sales and rapport building skills

  • Strong track record of meeting and exceeding targets

  • Self-motivation with a 'can do' attitude

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Able to work on your own initiative and as part of a team

  • Professional, tenacious, dynamic and enthusiastic

  • Full, clean UK driving licence

Working hours are Monday to Friday 9am to 5.30pm and every other Saturday 9am to 1pm.
You will be located at our head office in Stourbridge, West Midlands. 
Free onsite parking, a shared company car is available for viewings although you will be required to use your own vehicle from time to time.
Holidays 22 days a year.
